With the hope of mercy and new life, we see our city and the world being transformed in love through the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
Brighton Presbyterian Church is called
- to this task of mission in the City of Rochester, the surrounding region, and around the world (through our mission partners in Rochester, Eastern Europe, Northern Iraq, and India) so that the goal of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) may be fulfilled.
- to be a community where all people can experience the depth of Jesus’s love; where individuals and families meet the Living God through Biblical preaching and Christ-centered worship; where all are welcomed, embraced and offered a place to belong; where all are encouraged to grow in love for Jesus and for one another; and where the Holy Spirit is at work to heal and transform lives.
- to be a house of prayer—where prayer is offered for the needs of the congregation and community; where God's guidance, direction and empowerment is sought for our life together; and where God's Kingdom is advanced through strategic intercession.
- to be a servant congregation which sends equipped and empowered believers into our community for ministry and evangelism, hosts programs and provides resources to equip the whole Body of Christ for outreach, and which builds bridges between Christians of various traditions to advance the Kingdom of God.
